The course is fun and a learning experience so far! Marina is very nice, as well as the other participants. We did scenes from Bride Flight, Floor Faber and Flikken Maastricht. I am looking forward to Monday, when Michiel Ten Horn will come by to direct us. I have seen his short film "Arie" at the Dutch Film Festival last year and that was a truly enjoyable experience. I'm a huge fan of short films and this was a fun one. Aart Staartjes and Eric van Der Donk are in it. I think that anyone who's watched Klokhuis and the Dutch Sesame Street (every Dutch person out there, I think) will grin enthusiastically at the thought alone.
This year I'm taking part in the Sonnema Talent Tour! I perform on the 2nd of february 2010 at the Comedy Cafe. You can find more information about the tour at the website of the Sonnema Talent Tour. Look, there is also a bio of me.

Roamed a couple of open mikes, the Comedy Cafe (twice) and the Comedy Theater aan de Nes (1x).
In Other events:
I joined the December Edition of Echt Gebeurd in Toomler. It was a ton of fun. Real Christmas stories that actually happened, told in an intimite admosphere. You can find more information (in Dutch) about Gebeurd here. The concept is based on The Moth (Very recommended, in English).

I start this new year right away with a workshop at Kemna Casting, tomorrow already! en Acteren in front of the camera. Marina Wijn is teaching it. I am looking forward!

Lach Us Comedyclub New Years Edition
When the holidays are over, you're probably ready for an evening of laughter. That's possible on Wednesday january 6th 2010 for only 5 euro at Lach Us comedyclub! We start 2010 with a good show:
* Maarten Ebbers: Jury- and audience winner of the Leids Cabaret Festival 2009. The jury called Ebbers ”a good energetic performer, who is very musical to boot. He switches effordless from Blues singer to hardrocker and takes the audience with him to his absurd family world just as easily.
* Lambros Fisfis: Winner of the Sonnema Talent Tour 2009. (in ENglish) The jury: "Lambros had a spectacular opening. And a tight act with perfect timing and good jokes. He was the only finalist who had the attention of the audience for the full 100 percent. His performance was balanced!"
* Claartje van Swaaij: That's me!
* Joke Sitsen: Finalist Sonnema Talent Tour 2009.
* Frank Deuring: Young comedian who performs throughout the country.

Last weekend I had a very fun and useful workshop audition and screentest preparation with Kemna Casting. Betty Post and Marc van Bree gave the workshop. Marc on Saturday (focus was on commercials) and Betty on Sunday (focus was on tv and film auditions). It was very interesting to get some more insight about the other side of the audition table at Kemna Casting and it was a good way to get to meet face to face.
Singing lessons/ Vocal Workout From now on I have singing class/ vocal workout twice a week with Kim Sutherland and I can really recommend her to everyone and anyone. The classes are supergreat and for a ridiculously low price! Go! Go!
If I am not mistaken, I think I am indeed to be seen at the Dutch Film Festival! Hurray! I didn't see the end result for myself yet, so I have no idea how much text I still have, but we'll see. Click on the picture for more info!
- had an audition for a C1000 commercial that I didn't book - Extra work at this new Hans Teeuwenfilm. It was wicked fun. - Did a short test movie for the RED camera with Team facilities. It was a very fun shoot! Will get the material eventually when they are done editing. Played a writer. I had to improvise. Had lines. All good.
STANDUP COMEDY:
12/08/09: Open Mike Comedy Theater Aan De Nes, Amsterdam <--bombed. Did massive bad. Learned a lot. 24/08/09: Open Mike Comedy Cafe, Amsterdam <-- did pretty well actually! Got quite some laughs!
